The fact that you're conscious of opportunity and intelligent about making purchases means you would have figured out how to get into modern eventually. The loudest advocates for mass reprints are the people that will NEVER BE able to afford the cards at any price.

I'm sure there are those out there who are bitching for the sake of bitching, but I would not call them the majority. I'm very vocal about reducing costs (James and I go 'round and 'round frequently) because it allows those on the cusp, an ability to play

Having other responsibilities as well as a limited income, this is pretty much exactly it. Being able to purchase cards that have dropped into the $5 range as well as waiting for deals on lands (online codes, etc) has allowed me to buy a little here and there
