Lmao no. They were and still are lottery tickets. We sold out every time we got them in our hands. We bought 200 Japanese Boxes and sold every one in like 2 shows. Besides can you really tell me that collector boosters are any better? When every set sells for cost?
It's almost like vending events and running brick and mortar are two entirely different things

Ok, how about kaladesh? That set sold like gangbusters, the MINUTE it was out of print the box price went to like $150. People couldn’t stop opening those packs. And in our store in KY, which is one of the biggest in the nation, CBs are poor performers. The replacement is BAD.

It sounds to me like you are mixing up the fact that Battle/Oath were just bad sets with the performance of the lottery cards. Plus i think they overdid it. They blew their was and put all the good shit in the first set. Should have kept them less than 10 a set.
