That logic never made sense to me. If it's just a game and value doesn't matter why bother paying to play. Just staying home and playing on the kitchen table is better if that's how you see things.
Sure, if you don't value meeting new people or experiencing new things, by all means please stay home so that your #value propositions don't poison the well for the players that ARE having fun.
If you're playing Magic for profit, you've picked the wrong game.
