I think this comes down to gamers gonna game. Saving 6 cents on a single is obviously the higher EV play! *ignores that their LGS needs to make money to continue hosting tournaments*

competitive players tend to order online, abuse staff when singles aren't available last minute, and complain about EV. casuals fork over a dollar for random dragons, stay in the shop longer excited about magic, and help to build the community up. Dont @ me :D

Honest, this is pretty true. My LGS has a 15-20% mark up from tcg mid. I'd love to support them, but when I'm saving $20 per cavern of souls, it's really hard to justify buying the singles there.

You "buy a drink or something" when you shit at a gas station... if you're using the space for multiple hours of entertainment the 67 cents made off a drink is a slap in the face.
