To keep what they opened. The player in question is arguably the closest we have to a draft master in our store, so they're basically a lock to 3-0 the draft and scoop more prizes on the back end... including the new promos. I can only assume 2x Chandras
One foil and one non foil... I was way off. The cards they opened: Foil Steel Overseer Vivien, Arkbow Ranger $17 total TCG Mid This person dropped rather than pass a $7 card to their neighbor and ensured that someone was going to get the bye every round of the night.

I agree that this seems like a poor decision, but why don’t you let players buy a new pack without dropping?
Because that compromises the draft. Don't open a bomb in your first pack? Just claim it's valuable to you and rebuy!
I actually have been unofficially booted from a Sunday draft open in STL on svg tour. I still think it was right move. Foil snapcaster Liliana was the pack. The judge actually came up with packs and said "you are probaboy going to drop when you see this, here are the rules"
