Per-capita they are the most valuable. Usually when brands refer to their most valuable customers they mean the ones who spend the most money per person, and that's the usage I was deploying here. Totally agree that there are way more commander players than competitive spikes.

Maybe my instinct is wrong here but I see more casual players spending on sealed product. Spikes typically buy singles.

I would argue the opposite. Spikes buy a few singles, but almost all of the grinders I knew would borrow like crazy and do anything they could (sell cards for credit et al) before spending actual cash. Casuals will ship those dollars freely.

Pros might spend the most playing the game (travel, lodging, food) but they probably aren't spending the most ON Magic cards.
