My technique for planeswalker Momir: always make a two-drop. Getting to nine mana is still good, but there are lots of ways to recoup cards thanks to planeswalkers. Don't play planeswalkers unless they are actually good in Momir (card draw, removal, token production or ramp).

The biggest mistake people seem to make is either: not making creatures soon enough (basically playing the same was you would without planeswalkers by skipping drops until turn three or four) or wasting a card/turn on meh planeswalkers.
