Everyone needs to decide what they consider "inside info". If you mean did someone at WoTC email me a set list, card images, etc, that simply doesn't happen. If you mean "some rando said they saw something somewhere", that is more or less constant & not worth complaining about

All I'm saying is that I can understand how people could read some of the tweets as "James knew the buy a box promo ahead of time," when there is probably a way to tweet the same basic info that wouldn't give that perception (unless you want people to think that, then you do you)

Saf, I can't be more clear: I hear rumors all the time and when they make sense or become repetitive, they do guide my hand. I have no responsibility to disclose those rumors. I know lots of things ahead of time, as do many others, yourself included, as is normal in the industry

But "knowing" basically just means that my research + an offhand remark adds up. If I get official leaks, I turn them over, and I've already done so publicly just recently with Bolas, which I saw in Feb.

Adding research and rumors into "knowing" if fine, I don't have a problem with that. At the same time, if you tweet "I know Flusterstorm is the buy a box promo" you can't really blame people if they don't understand this is the definition of "knowing" and think it's sketchy.

I think he's referring to you stating confidentally that buy a box promo was solid before it was spoiled

We had the BAB narrowed down to a few options and they were all good. Was also 100% confident they would ensure it was. Rumors concurred, and then the EU vendor leaked a picture publicly which put a feather in it.
