I'm talking the days before Twitter tags and the like, most of what people attribute to MTG Finance now, they used to blame LGS's. Anyone remember the LGS's hoard cards not sell them? or even the first Legacy spike when SCG started their own event series around it?
I remember that stuff, but I don't remember the level of outrage and anger being anything comparable to to what surrounds mtgfinance. That was always written off as "businesses making money"... the level of vitriol you hear surrounding the mtgfinance crowd these days is epic

and that is due to Social Media, outrage just grows compared to those days, where far fewer people knew what was going on. If Social Media was bigger in those days, it would have probably been the same as it is now.

Social Media exacerbates it greatly. The internet in general.
