... up the ball on ancillary sets like Commander that were occasionally farmed out to other printers. Where it really hurts is board games. Why does that matter for Magic stores? Because they don't make that much on Magic anymore...

Wizards has steadily eroded the margins on Magic and D&D and the market has been flooded with companies dumping booster boxes for the same profit margin as selling a single booster pack so in-store box and pack sales have been on the decline for years...

Is TCG player part of the blame? it has allowed businesses (one guy in his house) to sell things for 10-15% margins because no overhead and undercut an already not that lucrative business model.
