I really feel like a lot of people are hating on #GameOfThrones because it’s become a cool thing to do. I’ve enjoyed the entire season so far, even if I feel like it could have used another episode. My biggest complaint about the last two seasons has been how they handled Ghost.

Nah. It's still entertaining television, but a lot of the parts of the story that interested me: prophecies, Magic coming back to the world, the various gods, powers, etc. that were building up over the course of the story just got thrown aside with no explanation this season.

What prophecies were thrown aside? The prince who was promised turns out to be Arya, who kills the night king. The house of the warlocks shows the iron throne covered in ash - ala this episode. I feel like things are actually wrapping up nicely in a lot of ways

That doesn't match the prophecy at all, though? Maybe the prophecies were all misunderstood? This season feels like they wanted to end it with a fight for the Iron Throne and forced the show into that trajectory, abandoning themes and natural character motivations to get there.

I don't see that at all, everything in this episode was foreshadowed in the early seasons.

That stuff mostly felt hamfisted, though. Like they forced the story to fit rather than had a story that naturally played out toward it. I'm not blaming anyone, it's really hard to satisfactorily conclude a story, I'm just not really happy with it.

I'm curious how, everything seemed natural. John always being to trusting, Danny going over the top, Jamie going back to Cerci, these have been mainstays of the show.

Didn't seem natural to me. This season felt very different than seasons 1-7. Some of the things like Dany going from harsh but fair to cruel and brutal would maybe make sense over multiple seasons but felt fast and forced here.

Danny did this before, she showed she would kill anyone who wouldn't bow, anyone who wouldn't love her, she has gone off the deep end several times already, and given her two dragons and right hand dying, and John turning her down, this was all but guaranteed.

Dany always went to "I'll torch the bitch" when there was a problem, but her advisers talked her down... no advisers now.
