@MTGCritic @wizardbumpin @Chosler88 @JasonEAlt @Rose0fthorns Just wanted to do a sanity check with you guys real quick. Counterfeit foils are exceedingly rare, correct? Especially with more recent (i.e. Standard) cards that are of lower value (<$20)?

I had heard that there is a recent wave of lower cost foils with the holo stamp in place but I have yet to see any.

You mean as opposed to not having a stamp at all?

More that getting the whole thing to look right with passable foiling + stamp was tough, but word was they're getting close or are there already. I don't have pics in front of me, so take that with a grain of salt for sure.

Got a message from a buyer saying one of the foil Hour of Devastation copies I sent him was a fake. He cited a few different things (image was grainy, card was thinner, texture felt "off"). I'm shocked, if true

Update: buyer refused to send the card back to me (but still wanted a refund) and refused to send it to TCG for inspection. So it sounds like there's still no immediate danger for foil counterfeits

I got a playset of counterfeit judge Noble Hierarchs on eBay. Seller refunded me immediately.
