Um, what? Trickle-down is bullshit used to justify handing rich people tax breaks under the assumption that they'll pass the savings on to their employees. Masters reprints always bring prices down. Chalice was $80 before reprint, $45 now. Thalia went from $20 to $10, etc.

If your complaint is that the entire business model behind Magic is inherently capitalist and exclusionary, I'll go along with you. But using a product that will absolutely bring Modern prices down as a way to complain about the system at large isn't a very useful critique.
