One thing many don't realize is how much of Magic is played at the kitchen table--not competitive or organized. But the LGS is still where most will first learn how to play.
That's what I was getting at. The player that experiences magic at a store is more likely to teach & recruit new players than some random dude who stumbles onto the game at Walmart by accident.
