Oh it never goes away, you just grow to realize that you weren't / aren't the only one that felt that way.
It's almost like after all these years we realize that they were just terrified insecure teenagers as well and that "the popular kids" we're just a group we intentionally alienated ourselves from via our own teenage self-loathing
