We receive preliminary usage data from Smart Meter Texas the day after flow. That data often times contains estimated usage. Five days after flow, Smart Meter Texas finalizes that usage data, and any discrepancies are reconciled in your account.

I have switched companies now. Why is Griddy continuing to take money out of my account when we have had power at most 15 minutes. I should not be charged for the other 23 hours and 45 minutes we didn’t have power.

You can still get charges up to 5 business days as your prior usage gets finalized by your local utility. Griddy only charges for electricity usage during your time with Griddy.
