Tomorrow's projected forecast, 2/16: Demand and pricing are looking to be very similar to today with likely continued outages into Tuesday morning. Tomorrow afternoon is likely to have lower prices than in the morning and late evening.pic.twitter.com/mPuzAgx40z

Elevated prices are expected to continue till the end of the week. This storm has become significantly worse than anybody predicted. We hope you stay safe during this time. We will get through this together.

You are charging $8.50 per kilowatt hour in the middle of a national disaster. That is CRIMINAL. People can’t pay those prices. My aunt went through $125 yesterday AND her power was out half the day. she is sitting in a freezing cold apartment afraid to use the heater.

This is criminal and this company should be ashamed. It’s disgusting.

I feel compelled to point out that “lower prices” is still $4/kWh. 💸 The y axis on the right (price per kWh) should start at zero. The bottom of the chart being nearly two orders of magnitude more expensive than average is very misleading about the current state of affairs.

yes for sure. a 100 order of magnitude higher should not be classified as "higher" its more in the "you will go broke if you use electricity from us right now" category.

Seems to me the power company putting the price up 1000% or more because they can’t manage the system is price gouging

This company literally just passes the wholesale price over to the retail market That’s their model and they’ve been entirely transparent about it from day 1 Wholesale prices always shift based on supply/demand most retail companies you pay a higher rate to lock in a retail rate
