@GoGriddy I still think there was room for a “possibility of an increase in costs” warning at least a week ago. I applaud your efforts though. I think I just need to switch over to a month to month during peak usage months. What happens to my balance though? 
The remaining balance will be refunded to the card on file within 7-10 business days of the cancellation date.
