      @GoGriddy what the heck is happening at ercot, there seems to be plenty of capacity over 4GW. What is causing the price per MWh to be like this?

      They require reserve capacity of sufficient margin that they can handle the sudden loss of the largest single generating plant (such as a nuclear facility, ~2GW)

      Currently sitting at over 4GW of extra capacity. I know Griddy just passes the price along, and I know the demand was high this morning. I just dont understand now that the demand has slacked off why they ercot prices didnt normalize.

          @GoGriddy I finally was able to get switched to Green Mountian, after both @txuenergy and @reliantenergy both said earliest was the 22nd. I’ll be back after this madness. PUC complaints for the 2 lying companies claiming Oncor stopped processing switches.
