      I find it ironic that the website says grid conditions are normal while prices are thru the roof the entire day. @gogriddy says it's based on forecasts, but these temperatures have been predicted for over a week, so why the surprise at usage?

      The incremental demand was mainly caused by gas-fueled power plants, whose operating costs were extremely high from a temporary spike of natural gas prices also brought on by the cold snap.
