Although cap is $9/kWh, I believe that the price you end up paying just for the wholesale electricity component can be higher due to “Ancillary Services” charges, which do not display on the Griddy App price dial, but can be 20% or more of the wholesale electricity component.pic.twitter.com/4rpL4d76Jq

We are looking into this and contacting ERCOT. We know there's a $9 cap on the LMP and the adders can be big when LMP is lower but they get smaller as LMP gets closer to $9.

Yes, but I think Anc Servs charges aren’t yet included in ERDOT’s real-time market price and aren’t included in ORDC Adders. My understanding is that ERCOT is right now working on a process to include AS charges in real time pricing, but that process has not yet been implemented.

Adders are an additional cost ERCOT charges when the gird is almost at capacity.
