The bottom line is that the “electricity rate” is only a fraction of what it’s costing you. Fixed contract rates are around .03, so when that dial isn’t below .03, you aren’t really saving money (vs shopping for a good plan).

Yes, but I think Anc Servs charges aren’t yet included in ERDOT’s real-time market price and aren’t included in ORDC Adders. My understanding is that ERCOT is right now working on a process to include AS charges in real time pricing, but that process has not yet been implemented.
