My guess is Griddy does not have a fixed rate for Ancillary Services. This is why this month they are around 2.5 cents per kWh and they are usually around .5 cents per kWh. Griddy, are you buying Day-Ahead Ancillary Services or monthly? Now it makes more sense.

For transparency, because it is both significant and variable, Griddy should probably make clear to members that the charge for Ancillary Services is NOT reflected on the Griddy price dial and has averaged x.x cents per kWh during the past year, month, week, etc.

and b) we do not have the granularity of ancillary services at the 5-minute, 15-minute or hourly level the way we have for wholesale electricity prices. We only see them as a lump sum for an entire day. We include this cost in the Ancillary Services line on the Statement page.

Shouldn’t Griddy be able to tell members what was the per kWh charge and total charge for Ancillary Services for each day? (I understand that this info might be delayed.) For example, what was the per kWh price charged to Griddy members for Ancillary Services on August 15th?
