My guess is Griddy does not have a fixed rate for Ancillary Services. This is why this month they are around 2.5 cents per kWh and they are usually around .5 cents per kWh. Griddy, are you buying Day-Ahead Ancillary Services or monthly? Now it makes more sense.

For transparency, because it is both significant and variable, Griddy should probably make clear to members that the charge for Ancillary Services is NOT reflected on the Griddy price dial and has averaged x.x cents per kWh during the past year, month, week, etc.

We don't include ancillary services on the Price dial or the Usage page because a) we don't know what the ancillary services costs are until after the fact (once we receive our invoice from ERCOT);
