@GoGriddy Can you please add the ancillary services to the monthly chart so I can see how much per day?

I would much rather have Ancillary Services as a market rate but they didn't offer that option to me. I could save money if I had Griddy's formula.
Ancillary service costs are passed through from ERCOT to all market participants, including every retail electric provider. We see them as a lump-sum cost for an entire day, and we allocate that cost to our members on a pro-rata basis for every kWh used during that day.

The price for Ancillary Services changes every 15 min. If you are lumping the entire daily cost together and splitting it by kWh, you are over-charging people that conserve during spikes.

On August 15th during the spike the Ancillary Services spiked up to $6.53/kWh. Those of us that went dark still had to pay "pro-rata" Ancillary Services since Griddy charges them per day and not per 15 min. interval http://ercot.com/mktinfo/rtm
