We had to build a worker that gets the data from the ERCOT website, but it sometimes publishes sporadically. We have requested that ERCOT provide a publicly available API with ORDC data.
Price Adder data is CRUCIAL. Without it, the price dial shows inaccurately low prices at the very times when prices tend to be high. Seeing the inaccurately low price will cause members to use more electricity at higher prices than they would if they saw the accurate price.
We agree! Luckily, we don't see this lag often, but our engineers are working on ensuring this doesn't happen as we speak.
