      Griddy is responsible for its business model and marketing. If consumers ultimately feel abused by Griddy and reject its offerings, that’s on Griddy. Hint: If you want to succeed in a free market, blaming customers for rejecting your offering is probably not a good strategy.

      Griddy was transparent. Its wholesale pricing, they told people that. If customers didn't do the research, that's on them.

      @PUCTX might inquire if @gogriddy’s marketing & contract pass muster. Until recently, Griddy App displayed false price info because it didn’t include Price Adders.       Yeah, after 6 weeks on Griddy, I figured out it just did not work as advertised, so I bailed out on Aug 2, thank heavens! Barely missed getting slaughtered in the “Tuesday/Thursday Massacre.”

      There are 2 prices. The 5-minute price and the 15 minute price. We have always said that the dial shows the real-time 5-minute price data but you are billed within the 15-minute interval.

      If that’s really a “transparent” explanation, why did you scramble to get Price Adders included in your App price—just hours before the 8/13 wipeout? You know your App price data was very misleading—for a long time—because when you got called out on it, you scrambled to fix it.

      As soon as we became aware that the price on the dial did not include ORDC adders, we immediately pulled our senior engineers off of other projects to get a fix built as quickly as possible.

          Griddy is the energy biz. Griddy should have the expertise to understand what its App was reporting. If Griddy didn’t know how its App worked, Griddy can’t expect its members to know. Griddy members relied on Griddy & suffered as a result. Griddy needs to be straight up on that.

          Has Griddy told its members how many months the Griddy App displayed prices without the Adders? Has Griddy tried to figure out how how much extra electricity Griddy members consumed as as result of relying on bad info in the App to monitor and control their usage? #tranparency

          Yes, this is a mess for Griddy. But fixing the App has not repaired the damage Griddy customers suffered. It’s gonna be tough, but “telling the truth slowly” is maybe not the best approach. Maybe better to take the medicine now—all at once. I dunno. Griddy gotta figure it out.
