Weekly Recap 8/04 – 8/10 As you probably noticed, we had extremely volatile pricing on the grid week last week. Weekly recap was too long this week to post the video but click the link below for the full thing! https://www.gogriddy.com/blog/uncategorized/weekly-price-recap-8-04-8-10/ …pic.twitter.com/IytJHT85Jb
This week and month has been relentless, we know! Before yesterday, in the whole history of the US wholesale electricity market, the price had hit $9/kWh for a grand total of 10 minutes. Yesterday, we had 90 minutes straight. Plus several other hours above $1/kWh. It sucks.pic.twitter.com/bL802xdm9S

This tweet doesn’t help my $108.00 bill for the day yesterday. I’m now aware of one of the worst mistakes I’ve ever made. Long game or not, one month of these prices and your sales model becomes void. GLHF

We understand your frustration! And understand that Griddy isn't for everyone. Wish wish as much as you do that these spikes did not happen. Again, something like this is extremely uncommon but I get where you are coming from.

We're happy you're liking our business model and thanks for the feedback! We are still a fairly new company doing something completely different in an old market.

No this month has not been bad when compared to previous Texas August. My Griddy August bill for 2018 was $115.80 for the whole month. You have already charged me $178 FOR TWO WEEKS! YOU CHARGED ME AN AVERAGE OF 34.1 per kWh. Is that even legal?
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Your add was on point... Spot (last minute) wholesale prices are fun and giggles until this happens. Just like car and health insurance... not paying for them is all fun and giggles until you hit a Ferrari or need surgery, then you are broke or dead.pic.twitter.com/tkTlRepX86

That's a terrible ad. I bet tons of people w/ Griddy has serious bill shock, esp if their accounts are emptied unexpectedly like that one guy who got charged $150 in a single day.
