@GoGriddy what the heck?! Yesterday it cost $14.21 for 61 kwh. 23.0¢ average price per kwh. This is unmanageable. I have everything automated to try and control usage during spikes but yesterday was bad. Today it's currently at 92¢ per kwh. Another $14 day??
Yesterday we had extremely high system-wide demand of more 70,000 MW – that's close to the all-time record of 73,300 MW. This was combined with lower than expected wind generation in the afternoon hours that led to multiple extended price spikes yesterday between 1 pm and 6 pm.
