@GoGriddy Can we talk about the prices on August 5th in the DFW area. What happened?
Yesterday we had extremely high system-wide demand of over 70,000 MW - the all-time record is 73,300 MW - combined with lower than expected wind generation in the afternoon hours. This led to multiple extended price spikes between 1pm and 6pm.
