Too many of our efforts to addressing climate change are like trying to play chess but only using a knight or a bishop. We need to see the "whole board" to stop climate change. Here's how.

Maybe we need an Occam’s Razor for the planet, where we see that the simplest environmental solutions are usually the best ones? Especially when we’re in a race against time?

A big debate is happening here. Regenerative agriculture has definite benefits, and I’d sure like to see a lot more of it. But is it really a big climate solution? Maybe. As big as its top proponents claim? Almost certainly not. And do subsidies help?

Really making sense . "The simplest environmental solutions are often the best. They’re proven. They’re ready now. They can help us avert disaster. So why do many prefer complicated, high-tech, faraway gadgets instead?"

Occam’s Razor means that the simplest explanation is usually the right one - and explains brillantly how this is the best and most effective way to fight .

And about half of it happens in only two countries — Brazil (mostly for beef, plus soy for animal feed) and Indonesia (for oil palm & timber). Two counties. Four commodities. And it’s behind half the world’s tropical deforestation — and its huge impact on climate and ecosystems.

Tropical Deforestation is, in my view, one of the most serious environmental problems on the planet today. It’s the leading cause of habitat loss and biodiversity decline, and it contributes about 10% of our greenhouse gas emissions.

Do you really think a government that squabbles over a $15 is going to come up with a serious plan to address the ? We need to look beyond D.C. — state and local government, businesses, communities, investors, individuals, etc. — for climate leadership.

Great article highlighting the simple opportunity to cut greenhouse emissions by eating plant based meat! (And the downsides of lab-meat & vertical farming)

.’s climate plan is a jobs plan — the kinds of jobs that will lift up communities that have been left behind. We're going to make sure those hardest-hit places benefit from, and see their future in, clean energy solutions.

  21. Good idea. Let’s pay members of Congress the minimum wage, with no health benefits or retirement, and see if this changes anything? They can always get a side gig, and drive Uber or something.
