This had caused many to claim the death of free speech, despite these bans being enacted by non-public entities. It's apparently fine for business owners to not sell wedding cakes to gays, but not ok to prevent a user from slandering people.

This is nothing like forcing someone to bake a special cake. Forcing someone to bake a wedding cake is actually a violation of the first amendment, as much as disagree with the discrimination against LGBTQ. This wasn’t a question of selling a prebaked cake.

You're comparing a race issue to a freedom of religion issue. Not the same. Not serving people of different race is wrong but not the same thing as freedom of religion.

And when did religion enter this discussion?

They had no issues to SELL them stuff, the gay couple could have bought everything from the store, the baker just didn’t wanted to bake a special cake for their marriage.

Still refused a service for religious reasons. Nothing you can do about it until they amend the Constitution.

It’s their store, so I don’t get why everyone is upset. Especially liberals, it’s not okay to refuse a gay couple a special cake because of religious reasons, but it’s okay to refuse service because of political reasons. Hypocrites!

Libel isn't a political reason - it's illegal, and the person being slandered can sue. You can call me names, or say you think I'm a moron, and I have no legal recourse. If you accuse me of being a pedophile to an audience of millions and I haven't been convicted of it, I do.

1A does have exceptions. If you yell "fire" in a crowded theater and someone is trampled, 1A will not protect you. Same for libel. It's also against the ToS of pretty much every platform on the internet (including the forums at Infowars, btw).

You're right though, there is difference: denying a service to a person based on a characteristic that person was born with is unconstitutional, because people have no control over how they were born. The things you say however, (unless you have tourettes) you choose to say.

Alex Jones -chose- to call the shooting at Sandy Hook a hoax, and if he actually has evidence that it was, why is he not taking it to court? Same with Mueller being pedophile. And a host of other accusations he has made against people with differing political beliefs.
