The last line of this fact check was: "If a rapist is ever charged, the fact finally would have more solid grounding." Now, a rapist has been charged and the story has been updated. Getting lots of angry emails but journalism is an accumulation of facts.

And fyi, for more than a year I have had a policy of not reading notifications. It's made life on this toxic platform much easier. So if you are screaming at I'm not hearing it. I do respond to thoughtful or provocative emails, though.
Glenn,
A simple apology would suffice. We all jump the gun. Most of us rarely.
Acknowledge when you do. You devolved into flubbed opinion, not facts. You lose future credibility if you can't own your mistakes. Own it, dude.

"Sucking ass at my day job is a virtue because I don't read the comments" is somehow both a complete parody of journalism and 100% on brand for you

With sloppy journalistic standards like you used on this story I don’t blame you for not turning on notifications. You don’t have to admit you did anything wrong if you don’t hear feedback. ( I say, knowing you’re unlikely to read this either .)

FYI, if you’re posting the last tweet, it’s obvious you actually read at least some of these mean tweets to you, Glenn.
