I have spent a weekend in New York City and it’s impressive how serious they are about vaccination. You cannot enter a bar, restaurant or museum without your vaccine card and ID carefully checked.

This is very much how New Yorkers used to feel visiting DC and discovering the bars there actually check IDs. It was like a trip to East Germany.

We already show our ID in many situations. During a pandemic it makes sense to show vaccination card to gather with strangers indoors. People are still dying and clogging up the healthcare system - especially in places where politics has "trumped" common sense.
