Winter tires are the most underestimated thing in winter driving.

Absolutely! Much more important than AWD.

What mileage do you see in such cold weather? I do see rich people buying teslas and drive with an uncomfortable cabin temp, so as to save miles. Sounds ironic that succesfull rich people are suffering in their teslas. Should I put off my tesla purchase till gas goes above 5$?
-
Idk but mine average 370wh/mi (vs 330wh/mi rated) in 16F on a 45mi oneway trip w the temp at 68F. And it's an X, which has the worst efficiency of all the Tesla. No one is forcing you buy one lol.pic.twitter.com/xYqMGHOoI2

What was the energy consumption (Wh/mi)?
-
Probably about 350. I didn't check it before I charged. I was definitely higher than normal, for several reasons.

To keep it warm and to preheat the car before driving. It is the same like plugging in an engine block heater. You don’t charge just float the battery.

Completely agree. Ours has handled winter in Upstate New York with no issues (98 inches of snow and counting). This is the most competent car on snowy roads that I’ve owned. Also, charging at home is so much better than filling up at the gas station in frigid weather.
