Some Save 35th people outside the room in overflow crowd were talking very loudly (its a library) resulting in doors being closed so nobody in overflow crowd can hear the speakers. #safe35th

I made it into the room. The Save 35th folks were quite successful in preventing anyone in support of the safety project from getting in. #safe35th This is what white privilege looks like.

Robin, a teacher, had to take off work to come. Talks about how hard it would be to go to multiple businesses along 35th if have to go back and forth to a side street, climbing ea time. “I hope it’s not too much to ask for me to be able to be on 35th on my bicycle and be safe.”

This founder of Save 35th (Tom?) is giving all kinds of reasons, none of them valid, why bike lanes on 35th would be dangerous for everyone especially “Randy Cyclist”. Now complains about cars parked on residential streets. #safe35th

Hung around for conversations. That is a really very much totally angry group of people. And to say non-inclusive‘d be the understatement of the year. Tyler and I were talking to a couple, 14ish yo kid comes up and they start attacking him. Told him he has no say til can vote.
