He's Canadian... I doubt he has even visited the South. He really should move to Mississippi or Alabama for a while. I think he would benefit from learning about the structure supporting this 'platform'.

I am Canadian too. Nearly exactly same age as Gladwell. Didn't need to live in Alabama (although I did) to know how full of crap he is on this topic.

if this is how you understand "10,000 hours" then it's clear you either didn't read the book or missed its point entirely. (spoiler alert: it's not about the 10,000 hours, but rather the privilege of access)

Apparently no one read the book because I hear the 10,000 hours bullshit constantly, whereas this is the first I'm hearing about "the privilege of access".
