The Snapchat update finally got pushed to my account and now I see what everyone has been complaining about. How do you even use this crap now?

take a look at their internal stock sales... lol. IMO back up any of your content that's stored on their cloud ASAP. Seems like they're itching to kill their own platform. Just my personal opinion.
It really is unbelievable how updates like this happen...how is it possible that everyone on that team was like, "yeah this is totally a good idea"

Yeah it kind of boggles my mind. I would love to hear how these design discussions actually went. Maybe they will do a post mortem.
