Remember when Bethesda wanted you to buy horse armor in Oblivion for like $3.00, and everyone wanted to burn it all down? Wish I could go back in time and tell them how the last 10 years went.

I don't think Blizzard's way in HotS is much better tbh, maybe not a popular opinion. Some events have been ok. Nexomania with $80 in bundles, or 50% higher than normal crafting costs, on limited time items, is the worst of Blizz. And I love HotS otherwise.
I haven’t paid a penny in Nexomania and I’ve unlocked a variation of almost every skin from the event. Just gotta put the time in. (Which I get not everyone has)

I have a smattering, but having okayed several games a night and seeing a grand total of 3 legendaries when there are what, 6 skins, 3 variations each plus non event items? Feelsbadman. Compare to the dark nexus items, or lunar festival.

Maybe lunar festival was too generous in the other direction, but the number of legendary drops added vs other rarities was skewed in this event with the bundles' cost and it being temporary.. don't want to see HotS follow Overwatch in this regard.
