Tencent (PUBG) suing Epic (Fortnite) is ridiculous. That's like saying Taito, the company that made Space Invaders, should sue Namco for making Galaga. (Yes, I'm old.)

I think the lawsuit is a bad business decision given they liscenced the engine from Epic. But their complaint that Epic used the PUBG title and branding to help promote Fortnite without their permission is legitimate. There was a cease and desist filed in response to it.

It’s bad business either way, but they aren’t suing them because they both made battle royals, they are doing it for a number of reasons, only a few are because of the “similarities” they see between the games. Which I agree is silly.

I’d also say that up until Fortnite Player Unknown did help produce all the major battle royals that had any success, including H1 and DayZ.
