INSIGHT #4: Overall, participants were excited about QSTN carrying the flag of “the value of user insights and data,” the fact that there is a clear business model (companies paying for survey answers), and the fact that QSTN disrupts some traditional big data businesses.

INSIGHT #3 (pt 3): On the question of legality, a token is less likely to be seen as a security in the U.S. if it is rolled out in a way where it’s distributed to users through use of the platform, and if users are NOT getting the token because they made some upfront investment.

INSIGHT #3 (pt 2): Tokenizing makes sense if there is a specific utility for the protocol. In the case for QSTN, it seems like there is a great use case for it. Answer questions, earn QSTN token. Early adopters seen to appreciate the opportunity to earn by offering insights.

INSIGHT #3: When considering whether to charge for membership, first identify 1 or more examples of real people who fit a persona of someone who would pay to join the community + get the proposed benefits. If there’s even 1 person who is really passionate, there might be 100.

INSIGHT #2 (pt 2): One participant mentioned their recently released book is a “a loss leader”—which is where a product is sold at a price below its market cost to stimulate other sales of more profitable goods or services. Consulting could be that profitable venture. Who knows!
