How much is @adamjohnsonNYC getting paid to write this @sfchronicle? It’s a serious question - what’s the price for ruining your reputation by writing this bs to help @chesaboudin @SFDAOffice ?https://twitter.com/RealJusticePAC/status/1417998324397862912 …

You need to touch grass, desperately. If you honestly think that a couple of videos of shoplifting are more important than rampant, institutional wage theft, or that the DA is somehow responsible for that shoplifting and not incompetent cops, your brain is profoundly broken lol.

Why are you making it mutually exclusive? And why are you assuming it’s just a couple videos?

Why did you gesture at conspiricism instead of dealing with the substance of the article? Nowhere in that tweet did I make it mutually exclusive, I am giving priority to the problem that adds up to millions of dollars a year in theft from ppl, over a corp insured against theft.

I didn’t gesture at conspiricism. It’s about his reputation and the reputation of the chron. That’s where critical reading and reading comp are impt. And retail theft is costing millions of dollars in losses in SF and it’s not as simple as corps being insured against the theft

You gestured at the idea Adam was specifically being paid to write an article to make Boudin look good, but nice backpedaling lmao. The point is that these corps have recourse and safety nets that these workers do not, and buying into this specious narrative obscures impt issues.

You’re right, I did suggest that and that it was tied to his reputation and then he said he got paid pennies and was an ideologue, which did not affect my pt and in some ways bolstered it. Anyway you read it, the tweet hinges on the worth of his reputation and the chron’s rep

Has Adam lied or misrepresented things? The fact that he is willing to admit how much he was paid and that he has ideological motivations only bolsters him as being honest & upfront, which is more than I can say for those pushing the "shoplifting epidemic" narrative.
