The ones packed in soy oil can be as cheap as $1 per tin but I suspect we all agree how we feel about that. More like 2.50 at minimum for 3.75-4 oz. in olive oil. That's 10-12$/lb, more expensive than farmed salmon. Same cost as a good quality steak.

This is all the protein you need for a meal. You would then add rice, veggies, squash, avocado, bellpepper, etc, putting your meal at about 3 dollars. Look at it in terms of nutrition per dollar
