It's been a few days since I got called a shill, so here are some health facts:
Intermittent fasting is a good calorie restriction method if it works for you. I personally found it impossible to keep up long-term. I have never heard of foam rolling outside of yoga classes - yoga is a decent form of light exercise, if that's what you mean

I always thought calorie restriction just gives you a lowered metabolism (eat fewer calories, body decides to burn few calories, like a thermostat, bad fat loss tactic). Isn’t fat loss dependent on hormones (insulin being the big honcho)?

Oh man it's a hugely complicated can of worms, but basically no. In the words of a endocrinologist colleague of mine: "I see thousands of patients per year. In the last decade, I've yet to see one for whom weight loss is metabolically impossible"

Otherwise I think you’re hitting the nail on the head with every else you just said
