And the truly astonishing viewpoint that somehow having a day to support LGBT+ people against hate somehow causes homophobia or victimhood is pretty boringly wrong

LGBTs are no more victims of 'hate' than heterosexuals are.Why do we need 'Days'?Laws are in place to protect all citizens from all crimes&when did 'not supporting 'Days', turn into ''hatred' & 'phobias'? Its insulting to gays in countries where they face real hatred

Saying that LGBT people are not victims of hate is simply ignorant. I suggest you investigate some of the stats This is a good place to start: https://lgbtihealth.org.au/statistics/

Which is, of course, a factually inaccurate statement. The statistics paint a stark picture of the hate-fuelled attacks perpetrated on the LGBT community, both physical and otherwise

You can believe whatever you like. I have no interest in spending the next day presenting you with stat after stat so that you can continue moving the goalposts to suit your preconceived notions. I've linked to some basic reading, you should start there

a) I live in Australia b) The statistics are very stark, and virtually identical in the UK c) ignoring statistics doesn't make you right, it simply makes you ignorant

I always ignore stats than can be manipulated - i then look for hard evidence, successful prosecutions, to sort out the reality. I suggest you do the same. Australia isnt the uk.

That's not how statistics or science work. As I said, ignoring statistics you don't like simply makes you ignorant
