There were any number of news pieces that suggested very strongly that a cure had been demonstrated. As to offense, I certainly didn't mean to poke fun at people with diabetes. I did also respond to

There will always be an issue with misinterpretation in the media. But let’s not fight misinformation with more misinformation. An honest scholarly debate is welcome and needed, as no study in nutrition can ever be the final word.
