Don’t want to get anyone in trouble so just pulled the one bit from the entire comment ...partly to convince myself my paraphrasing was “close enough” 😬 Ok Gid, I’ll shoosh now, bc I think I just tipped over into “trolling” with number of comments 😬pic.twitter.com/GPzJaGznlN

Oh, except....you’re probably going to have a pile of people say “those LC crazies just push their own agenda”. Well, many of the growing LC crazies ARE medical professionals, working one on one and seeing results. If RCTs haven’t kept up, really, we don’t have time to wait.

Many LC “crazies” are also people that have been let down by current advice, have had to go it alone, find their own way to health and are now being told they are zealots, crazies, trolls etc by the very people that should be supporting them. Let’s listen 👂 they have a story.

There is very good RCT evidence for low carb. The crazies are the defenders of a faith that is not backed by any RCT evidence. Still cling to flawed weak epidemiology, despite testing in RCT being negative.

There certainly is McIntyre.....I was being polite. Like many practitioners, parents, patients....I’m finding it incredibly frustrating “LC” is not a first line of treatment offered for PWD (not helped by misplaced jibes from pple who should “know better”)

There is equally good anecdotal/RCT evidence for IF and Mediterranean diets among others... ...almost as if the specific diet itself is, perhaps, not the key element wrt weightloss and blood sugar improvement

In fact, I know several endos who exclusively recommend IF because of the high quality RCT evidence in terms of blood sugar and lipid control

I mean, part of the reason I find this all so exhausting is that I have the exact same argument every time I suggest that ANY diet may not be the universal panacea it's hyped to be

You mean like your reaction to defend dietary guidelines when others are critical of them? As I have pointed out before there are no randomized controlled trials to support Guidelines based diets do anything good, but you aggressively defend them - why?

Lol I'm not getting into another argument about the guidelines, I think I made my position clear over the last week or so
