Sure - as one is expected to do as a “safeguard” - but the “ps always consult your HP” is not a license to “write whatever you want”. “PS see a doctor” is a strategy used by every “diet product” on the market to cover their ass - professionals don’t want to go down that road?

I am quite saddened by this article as these T1D children are treated as "Another Paradox" that doesn't need explanation, as "We already know everything" - Its Post Modernism in health. A paradox means the theory is not complete or worse, wrong!

That was my initial reaction too, had to really think about “why” to not spiral to despair. @GidMK knows I’m no fan of “mythbusting” style writing, which much of his work is - but generally, I leave be. This one though, agree McIntyre - diabetes is not a game

I notice one of the comments to Gid was “stop shitting on what pple are trying to do to be healthy” (my paraphrasing) I lol’d, and then thought - actually, he’s right - that’s what mythbusting does 😞 (and more).

Don’t want to get anyone in trouble so just pulled the one bit from the entire comment ...partly to convince myself my paraphrasing was “close enough” 😬 Ok Gid, I’ll shoosh now, bc I think I just tipped over into “trolling” with number of comments 😬pic.twitter.com/GPzJaGznlN

Oh, except....you’re probably going to have a pile of people say “those LC crazies just push their own agenda”. Well, many of the growing LC crazies ARE medical professionals, working one on one and seeing results. If RCTs haven’t kept up, really, we don’t have time to wait.

FTR ....there’s quite a few ADG crazies.....who then maintain “no one diet for everyone” 😳 PS if you don’t ADG you cannot possibly be healthy, and, if you eat any other way than ADG/AGTHE it’s a fad. Ok bye.

@GidMK I could not see any Conflict of Interest Statements in the article. Can you please clarify if you, or your employer and any studies you are involved in have any sponsorship from drug/food companies? Not accusing, just asking for clarity.
