I had better tell you again. The weak associations in piecemeal epidemiological studies used to develop the dietary guidelines are not proof that they are correct and I would be very concerned if you thought otherwise. When tested in RCTs many/most associations are proven wrong.

FYI: this isn’t a problem with “epidemiology” as a discipline. It’s a problem with people chasing attention instead of good science, which means people using shoddy methods to torture data into something like “coffee increases...” or “alcohol increases...” get the most attention
