Why should it be either/or? And science is not produced in a vacuum, of course there are issues. The question is always how/why that biases research, and what it means, not throwing results away wholesale
Seems like an argument against all expertise, as well as a very strong argument against faux-expertise like Pete Evans' brand of nonsense

Not against all experts. Just nutrition ones. Who were our experts 60 years ago? Mom, grandma, the occasional dad, the cafeteria lady. But those people somehow cannot be our "experts" now. But experts in nutrition have provided info that isn't helpful; hence the PE's emerge.
